Dynamic Earth – Science Centre & Planetarium

A visit to Dynamic Earth is like nothing else on Earth.

The immersive, interactive and impactful visitor experience takes you on a journey through the story of our extraordinary planet, from beginning to mend. Be there at the moment of the Big Bang, rocket through the Universe billions of times faster than the speed of light, feel the effects of a real volcano, get closer to understanding the polar ice caps by touching our iceberg, stare in wonder at the Aurora Borealis, watch powerful glaciers carve out entire continents, dive to the dark depths of the ocean, and avoid rainstorms in our tropical rainforest.

Highlights

  • Restless Earth – Experience a ground shaking earthquake, feel the heat of a volcano, and learn why they happen.
  • Discover the Deep – Meet Scotland’s pioneers of marine science, dive into the depths of the sea and witness incredible habitats and meet the marine scientists of today.
  • Polar Extremes – Find out about the Earth’s polar regions and get your hands on a real iceberg!
  • Planetarium – Gaze at the wonder of the night skies, where our inhouse astronomers will guide you through stargazing.

What our customers say…

We got the Edinburgh city pass for 2 days while we were up there for a mini holiday, and were really impressed with how many attractions it included, and for a great price. Well worth getting and planning your trips and attractions.

Edinburgh city pass is a must do for anybody wanting to get the most out of a short holiday in Edinburgh. It’s easy to use too. It was all electronic and I could just whip out my phone for the staff at the each venue for them to scan it.
Thomas A – Google Reviews
The views from the top of Scott monument was breathtaking. I would not have gone up without the pass. Would recommend as an easy and affordable way to enjoy Edinburgh.
