John Knox House Museum – A 500-Year Old Story
Step Back in Time at John Knox House
Discover one of Edinburgh’s oldest medieval buildings, John Knox House, which dates back to 1470. Together with attached Moubray House, these are the only original medieval buildings remaining on the Royal Mile. Associated with the dramatic events of the Scottish Reformation, John Knox House brings to life one of the most turbulent periods in Scottish history, marked by civil war and the abdication of Mary, Queen of Scots.
